About

Welcome friends old and new.
” About” (eek)
This is the first page I read on other posts. The page I feared writing the most.
About this blog.. about me.. about my hopes, my dreams, my goals….
I’ve wanted to write a blog for some time now, I love to ‘talk’ with my keyboard and
thought, hey… what a great way to get my daily ‘talk’ out – my rants, my brags, my
likes and dislikes..
What you find in my blog will be fun and useful and only things I’ve experienced myself.
I refer to myself recently as a discombobulated domestic..
I am not a great cook or even close with home organization (a.k.a. messy house).
I ‘dabble’ in many things and love sharing words, ideas, experiences. I am pretty
committed to getting the best bang for my buck, so you’ll see lots of coupon and rebate
ideas on my pages. I love bragging about my family (because they are always worth bragging
about). My dogs and my family and friends dogs.. just because I love dogs and they’re
worth bragging about too. Seldom will you see posts about cooking.. hahahaha, but I
will enjoy sharing friends posts and ideas. I’m not the gardener in the family but enjoy
(because I’m a cheapskate) canning, freezing, preserving the harvest from my husband’s
labors. I have little understanding of the technical aspects of blogging, so bear with me
if my page looks like it was created by a pre-schooler, because quite honestly they may do
better than I do.
Lastly, (for now) I encourage you, I beg you, to comment away.
I can use all the help I can with suggestions for making this a place you
like to visit and a virtual friend you would like to have.
Thanks for the read. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kim

Like the look and feel you’ve created thus far. Definitely better than a pre-schooler could do! lol Keep up the great work, Kim. I’m certain your blog will entertain and educate all of us, and as time goes on, more and more people will be following you. Do you have a “follow” button, yet? I’m not the most computer literate person, but I know lots of blogs have a follow button incorporated in their page. Best wishes for happy “blogging”!

Deb, great catch. I have a follow on my other page but still learning.. i’ll go edit bottom of page buttons 🙂 Super excited you have a blog you found! I’m so hoping you will start back up ! A blog for each of our families would be awesome!! Thanks so much for checking out my blog and I really appreciate your leaving a comment, means a lot to me. Stay tuned for more ❤

I found it Kim…are you proud of your semi-computer literate mom? I love your very “real and homey” touch. I knew you’d become a great author someday..luv ya, mom

This is very exciting! I have not known anyone who has a blog—and I only have a rather vague idea of what one even is. But, I clicked on the website on FB and Voila! there you were.

Hi Betty! Thanks so much for visiting my Blog 🙂 This is exciting and fun, also a little un-nerving, but I’m having fun pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and learning as I go along. Maybe you can do a blog with the kids. I joined a blog buddy group through blogelina on facebook (free) to help me along. Stay tuned. I’m working on a couple of new pages. You can click the ‘follow’ button at bottom of pages and you’ll get email updates when I post something new 🙂

    • kimverrochi says:

I can’t wait to see post a pic of Molly 🙂 Write a little bit about Molly for her blog debut! Will be so much fun. I’m collecting pics this week so I can get that blog page up over the weekend. Thanks so much for checking out my blog, I’m looking forward to lots of family and friends joining in on the fun!
ps.. of course I do plan on posting about coupons/savings.. haha.. can’t resist!

  6. Hi Kim. I am so excited for you. You will find there are lots of newbies, or semi-newbies out here. But what you will also find is that bloggers are so giving, caring and loving. I love my association with all of my blogging friends and I look forward to us becoming friends as well. Also, you won’t find a more supportive group than these folks. Congrats on finding Blogelina. That will really help. I am in 3 of her groups.

I like the look of your blog so far. I cheated and hired someone to help me get mine going. But it was definitely worth it.

And, you are right, that first page is the hardest. The rest of it gets easier. Just talk to us from your heart. I imagine myself sitting down with each of my readers over the kitchen table and just having a nice conversation.

Thanks so much for sharing about yourself with us and for going on this great journey along side of us. Have a great day!

Regina, Thank you so much for your welcoming comment. I have enjoyed the blogging community so much the past two months, such a sharing, supportive and kind group of people. I’m excited to be joining the ranks. I gave the hiring someone some thought and will still be going that way, but felt I wanted to gain some insight and focus before I made a full upgrade. Blogelina has been my lifeline as well as her blog buddy groups, i look forward to her tips and support every day! Thanks again for taking time to read my blog 🙂

Great Job Kim!! The first step is just trying! This whole blog situation has had me frazzled since I started. I am the QUEEN OF GIVE UP—(matter fact that’s my next blog post) I always try to take the easy road. We are all in this together and congrats on your new blog! 🙂

    • kimverrochi says:

Oh Alicia, when I found the new blog group I close to got up and danced… well, i did get up and do a brief un-viewed quite silly victory dance. And your questions were like you were reading my mind. I still haven’t figured out how to link posts to pages, but i’m feeling more encouraged, not so alone and will try again today. After yesterday and spending literally 6 hours trying to network and figure things out I realized a good deal of my problems are not just me, my computer is 100 years old in people years and it’s time to look for another one. You see on my blog, I’m cheap.. so the idea of making a large purchase has me a little cranky, but if I commit to making the new purchase pay me back, it won’t seem so bad. I’ll be looking for your new post! Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to check out my blog 🙂

    Kim,

You literally made me BOL!!!! (bust out laughing) I often feel like I have worn out my welcome with the blog group–but the never made me feel that way. They are all so welcoming and understanding and they answer every question I have. I love that about them! I can’t wait until I am able to help someone like they have helped me. I think I have figured out the post/page thing. Once I changed my theme, I was able to see that the post/page thing did work. I was going crazy trying to figure everything out! I would spend 6-8 hours on everything and I almost went crazy! LOL Also, check out Blogelina. She is having a WordPress workshop for free on October 17th. Make sure you sign up for that. I know I did!! 🙂

I don’t even want to talk about the computer I had before this one! It was terrible! I’m sure Fred Flintstone used it before i got it!! I had so many viruses that I had to take it to be completely restored. After that restoration, it was no better than a calculator. I couldn’t do word documents, download anything, save anything, print anything…AUUURRRHHH the madness!! All i could do was research on the internet and that was it. I was able to get my Toshiba for 325.00 during a Back to School sale. A Macbook is on my future “Must have” list. Thats FUTURE list.. they are so dog on expensive! LOL

I may hold a burial service!! have a great weekend.. i’ll be back soon with tooooooooooooo many questions xo
